Care Instructions

Monthly Oiling & Waxing:

To maintain your wooden cutting board’s longevity, it’s vital to oil and wax it monthly. Do not use products meant for cooking such as vegetable oil as they will become rancid.

  1. Start by making sure your board is clean and dry.

  2. Apply a generous amount of cutting board oil, such as food-grade mineral oil or beeswax.

  3. Use a cloth or paper-towel to spread the oil across all surfaces, allowing it to soak in overnight.

Caring for Wood

  1. Do Not put your wood board or utensils in the dishwasher, as the extreme heat and water pressure can cause splitting and cracking.

  2. Avoid soaking it, as this can lead to warping and cracking

  3. Scrub the surface of the board using mild dish soap and hot water after each use.

  4. For a deeper clean, make a paste from baking soda and water and scrub it into the wood. Rinse thoroughly, dry well.

Removing Unwanted Odors & Stains

  1. Start by sprinkling baking soda onto the paint on your wood cutting board.

  2. Then, squeeze lemon juice over the baking soda to make a paste. Combining these two powerful natural cleaners will help lift the stain and neutralize the odor.

  3. Gently scrub the paste into the board using a soft cloth or paper towel.

  4. Rinse off the paste, and dry the board thoroughly.
